Since 2018 Henri Judin has been running his own freelance design business focusing on furniture and product design. Currently he is also working as a Design Manager in a Finnish design and furniture producer, Vivero Ltd.
Henri Judin has a Master of Arts degree in Design which he completed at the department of Product and Spatial design in Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in 2019. During his studies, he became interested in optical illusions, ending up examining them as a part of furniture design. In 2013 he graduated from Savonia UAS with a bachelor’s degree in furniture design.
Judin has experience in furniture industry and design processes of different scales. In 2018 he worked as a design intern for IKEA of Sweden in Älmhult. In total he has eight years of work experience in technical design and product development. His strong knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing, combined with design thinking, helps him to always find an optimal solution for production without compromising on form language, functionality, sustainability or quality.
A self-described maximal-minimalist designer has designed for both Finnish and international companies. His work has been exhibited in various furniture fairs and exhibitions and his designs have been noticed by international publications.
He is competent not only in 3D-modeling, but also in workshop: making scale models and prototypes is a natural part of a design process to him. Along with furniture and product design he is experienced in doing package design, as well as interior architecture.
His spare time he spends at the gym, in a Bodypump class or in a museum. He also paints and he has been into ceramics for over than ten years.
